Rumors: Alodia Gosiengfiao goes Super Sentai

After the announcement of Alodia Gosiengfiao that she would quit cosplay so that she could go back to school, rumors arise that the school she was referring to was not the usual one and it’s called Academia Island.

Academia Island is a fictional location taken from the Super Sentai series Choujuu Sentai Liveman or Super Beast Task Force, the twelfth entry of Super Sentai series by TOEI Company and seventh of Showa Era. The rumors show that she would play the role of Megumi Misaki aka Blue Dolphin in the upcoming Pinoy adaptation attempt of Liveman. She will be accompanied by Vhong Navarro who will play Yusuke Amamiya aka Red Falcon, and Zanjoe Marudo portraying Joh Ohara aka Yellow Lion.

The Original series takes place on Academia Island, a school for scientist consisting of both Japanese and American students, where technology and science were used to make the world a better place. However, some of their finest students feel their talent are being wasted at Academia and leave. They accept a position in the evil organization Volt. Yusuke, Joh, and Megumi take up the powers of their suit that was originally made for space exploration, becoming Liveman to battle against their former classmates and Volt.

The series was said to be aired on the third quarter this year, If this is true, I hope they do justice to this unlike what happened to Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan (Zaido: Space Police). LIveman was broadcast in France as Bioman 3, being marketed as the direct sequels to Choudenshi Bioman and Bioman 2 (Hikari Sentai Maskman). That might be the reason that’s why they chose to adapt this, or the writters got interested after the release of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (Pirate Sentai Gokaiger)

This must be the reason why the members of Official Seven Fans Club doesn’t look worried that time.

Bye Bye Cosplay ~ Alodia Gosiengfiao

After the recently concluded Cyberzone Technolife Affair event that included Alodia’s Post Birthday Bash Celebration, a video of Alodia telling her fans that she had made her final decision. The Cosplay Goddess herself is quitting cosplaying. The reason she gave was she wanted to go back to school full time and she misses the club activities and her school friends as well.

For her avid fans, this is a very tragic event. Others thought that this is just a joke for the April Fools Day. The others gave their support for what she would want to do. But I still have high hopes that she won’t be gone for that long. besides she is the only Cosplay Goddess right?

After this announcement, will she continue her showbiz career? or will she quit as well to pursue her school life?

Cosplay Invasion @ Umagang Kay Ganda

Yesterday, March 28, 2011, some Cosplayers and the band Haponesang Dilat were invited to guess in an episode of UKG or Umagang Kay Ganda of ABS-CBN Ch2.

The convention dubbed Animetics Kick-off event will be held on April 2, 2011 @ Festival Mall, Alabang. The event will not only bring together the cosplay community, but also companies that are in animation, software development, game development, that will showcase their products and projects to promote careers in the creative industries.

Cyberzone Technolife Affair + Alodia Gosiengfiao’s Post Birthday Bash

Cyberzone hosted a 3 day event called Technolife Affair last march 24 to 26 at the SM Megamall Events Center (formerly the ice skating rink)

I was informed about this event through facebook and the

"Come and celebrate my post Birthday Bash in this super cool event! Really hope to see you there!" –Alodia

was the reason i decided to attend on the 3rd day together with my friends.

The highlights of the event include the display of new gadgets that are presented by top brands like Microsoft, Samsung, Epson, Sony and others. At the center of the venue are four of Alodia's cosplay costumes. There was a Photography Workshop by Samsung. A Work at Home discussion by Jomar Hilario. And a Blogging 101 session by Azrael Coladilla. A Cosplay Competition was also held at the event. There was also an acoustic performance by Ashley Gosiengfiao. Another intermission number from Official Seven Fans Club with Ayumi Kassinique and the performance of the newest P-Pop Group 1:43.

The overall experience was fun, being there celebrating Alodia Gosiengfiao’s post birthday bash; who’s wearing a Super Mario cosplay dubbed as Super Al-Mario, learning a thing or two about photography and blogging. That’s why i decided to make my own blog.
